Filtering by two options

Need to have filter working for two options: brands and category. I figured out that brands inside the plugin settings are those that are used when filtering brands but how do I have category filtering done? I created two filters but need to have brands created inside the plugin settings – anything that needs to be done so brands from woo are those used when filtering and so there’s no need to add brands inside both woo and the plugin settings? I also need to filter by category, created the filter but can’t get it to work as there’s nowhere to add categories under the plugin settings. I have all brands and categories already specified in woo but need to have filtering done without the need of adding brands under the plugin settings (when I do this filtering starts working) and without the need also of adding categories which I don’t see where to add this under the plugin settings.
