# Firefox Loading Issue

 * I’m having an issue with our site loading erratically in Firefox, and I was wondering
   if anyone has experienced the same issue. I’m trying to isolate the problem and
   I believe it’s strictly a Firefox issue, but I’m not 100% sure.
 * Our site loads just fine in Safari, Chrome, Maxthon, and Opera.

 * But, in Firefox the images don’t always load on the first try and often requires
   a page refresh. The text and basic template framework loads, but no images. The
   odd thing is that it works fine on Firefox mobile, such as an iPad. I experienced
   a similar issue with Safari about a year ago where our site loaded fine on desktop,
   but would not load images on mobile. Now that’s working fine with the latest 
   Safari update from Apple and WP.

 * I can duplicate it every time in FF 45.0.1.
 * The minute I turn my Adblock Plus extension off, the symptom disappears, and 
   the images load on first try. I can make the images disappear again by simply
   toggling Adblock Plus back on and then refreshing the page.
 * Try temporarily turning off any extensions you might be using in FF and see if
   the behavior changes at all.

 * Hi Clayton,
 * Thank you for taking the time to check into this for me. I hadn’t considered 
   that a Firefox extension might be the cause. I don’t use Adblock Plus, and as
   far as I know from other people that have reported the issue to me aren’t using
   it either. But, it’s possible that other extensions could be an issue as well.
   I use Firefox for Dev work and have several extensions loaded. The other browsers(
   Safari, Chrome, etc.) that I test in are clean installs with no extensions.

 * You’re welcome. For what it’s worth, I’ve noticed some odd issues with the way
   Firefox loads scripts since the first 44.x update. More specifically; my firebug
   extensions, and on occasion the Adblock Plus extension, seem to prevent Firefox
   from loading my homepage URL when I open Firefox. I’m forced to open the home
   page manually about half of the time. I’m kind of waiting for either Mozilla,
   or the extension providers/devs to see a growing pattern in the bug reports and
   address the issue.

 * I’m running firebug as well. That might be part of the issue. I will take a look
   at it in the next day or two and try and run this down.
