 * Hi there
 * Is there a way with Easy Booking that we can set a fixed start date?
 * We just went live yesterday with bookings for our event next year on the 5th
   of August but waking up this morning I’m getting emails telling me that the start
   date has moved to the 6th now.
 * The event is only for this particular week so we don’t need it moving based on
   the current day.
 * Thanks
    James

 * Hello,
 * It’s possible with the [Disable Dates](https://easy-booking.me/addon/disable-dates/)
   add-on. You disable every date except August 5th.
 * But… If you have a fixed date… Why do you need a booking plugin? Wouldn’t a simple
   product work? 🙂

    Natasha

 * Edit: I didn’t see that you had two dates and that the end date wasn’t fixed.
 * Anyway, here’s a little example of what you can do with Disable Dates: [http://demo.easy-booking.me/product/product-120/](http://demo.easy-booking.me/product/product-120/).

 * Wow! Thanks for the quick reply Natasha. I appreciate it. You beat me to it with
   the edit as well.
 * The event runs from the 5th to the 12th but customers can book any number of
   nights between those two dates which is why we need the booking plugin (I think!).
 * I’ll take a look at the Disable Dates in that case. Thank you!

 * Actually I’m not sure I understand how this works.
 * So we had two potential customers report this morning that the earliest date
   they could book was the 6th, which isn’t right. It looks like the Easy Booking
   plugin has moved the start date from the 5th to the 6th overnight. The 5th was
   no longer selectable.
 * Using the Disable Date plugin, if another customer decides to book their start
   date from the 8th for example we wouldn’t want to disable that date and force
   them to select only the 5th.
 * So would I use this plugin to say all dates are disabled apart from the 5th,
   6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th of August? Does this stop Easy Booking from
   moving based on the current day?

 * Ah, I see. You used First and Last available date settings to allow only enable
   dates from August 5th to August 12th? In this case, these settings are relative
   to the current day and will move every day.
 * On the contrary, with the Disable Dates addon, if you enable only the dates you
   want (actually you need to disable every other date but it’s the same in the
   end), they will not move 🙂

 * Yeap that’s it :). I was surprised to see that option as I would have thought
   at least a start date would be fixed.
 * Will give Disabled Dates a go tonight then. Thanks again for your time Natasha,
   it’s been helpful.
