I have this issue too I think.
When I scroll to a point that the widgets ‘fix’ (i.e. when the adjacent content scrolls off the screen) the last widget I have in the sidebar jumps up over the widget above it. So it looks like it’s not conforming to the block of widget’s fixed state. I think it may be to do with the margin top/bottom. Although I have tested these settings comprehensively, and set them so that the outer extremities (top and bottom) of the widget block are limited to start and stop with the content of the page (i.e. not overflow). So I’d have to say that it’s either a bug in this plugin or one of my widgets isn’t defined properly, or being picked up.
jcnyc – I have already double checked mine. But you might want to make sure that each widget in the block that you want to freeze has “Fixed Widget” enabled in each widget’s individual settings on the Appearance->Widgets page.
I discovered something… I had the refresh interval set to 60 seconds. After a minute the widgets sorted themselves out. So I tried a very short refresh interval and it worked. Although the performance of the page was greatly reduced when scrolling.
It seems that one of my widgets is small while it is loading. And when it resizes after a few seconds, the plugin doesn’t realise this until after the refresh.
Hey square_eyes, I just put the widget the bottom for now and it will never overlap with the other widgets.
