# Flash and WordPress help

 * I want to have a flash ticker that randomly displays comments by users. Could
   anyone help shed some light or guide me through querying my wordpress database
   and passing the content to my flash file?

 * It might help to get the flash platform out of your way. There is a piece of 
   widely used software that queries either an SQL database or XML files called 
   the JM Image Rotator. It’s built to show images, but could be modified to pull
   text strings from your database.

 * It’s the basis for a very popular WordPress Plugin, the [NextGen Gallery](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery/)
 * You would need to buy some programmer time… or hack into yourself.
