# Flash Slideshow Alternative

 * I’ve got a site built on the Twenty Eleven theme and want to add a Flash slide
   show at the top of every page.
 * I’ve added some Flash code to the sidebar-page.php that inserts the Flash slideshow
   into the top of each page of the website. The problem is, is that it only shows
   on the front page, all other pages just show a blank black box.
 * I thought that as the Flash slideshow is simply three images that fade into each
   other that it would perhaps even be better to avoid Flash completely, also so
   that it will work on iOS devices.
 * Does anyone have any advice on an alternative to Flash?
 * I’d also be interested on knowing how to make the slideshow appear only on some
   pages.

 * Any ideas for an alternative to Flash? Anyone???
 * On the matter of the flash banner only appearing on the home page, I have even
   hard coded the full address of the slideshow into the sidebar-page.php but it’s
   still only showing on the Home page. I don’t understand why.

 * I’ve used the NextGen Gallery plugin and have replaced the Flash code in the 
   sidebar-page.php with this shortcode:
 * <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[slideshow id=1]’); ?>
 * Now the slideshow is appearing on all pages OK and on iOS devices too.
 * Now I just need to figure out how to make this appear on selected pages. Probably
   with a conditional tag? If anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them.
