# Flush cache failed

 * Hello,
 * We’re getting the message ‘Flush cache failed’ whenever an Editor level user 
   publishes or updates a post. We don’t see the error when an Admin level user 
   does the same.
 * Our web hosting company said it’s likely due to a plug-in. By process of elimination
   we have found that we only have the issue when NextGen Gallery is activated (
   even when all the other three other plugins we use are deactivated).
 * We are using NextGen Gallery Version 3.35, the latest version of WordPress 6.1.1
   and PHP 8.0.
 * Do you have any ideas what the issue could be?

 * Thanks for the quick response. The hosting company said their cache software 
   is proprietary. But when I asked about that, the support person starting looking
   into the issue again and they now think it might be a permissions thing with 
   the way the hosted WordPress account is set up their end, and that your plug-
   in is just highlighting the issue. They are going to look into it further so 
   I will close this ticket for now.

 * Hi,
 * I’m opening this ticket back up. My hosting company are adamant the problem isn’t
   with them. They say the cache software they use is proprietary – they are own
   by GoDaddy and use the same software by the looks of it, if that helps.
 * The “Flush Cache failed” error only happens when logged in as an WordPress Editor.
   Editors level users don’t have permission to manually flush the cache but the
   cache is clear automatically when an Editor publishes or updates a post. When
   the NextGEN Gallery plugin is enabled, the error occurs, when it isn’t enabled,
   it doesn’t occur.
 * The console only show the error as:
