 * Hi,
 * I use WP staging exclusively for my clients’ websites. Today I installed it on
   one which is new (never been installed on before) and it gave me multiple errors
   I’ve never seen on any other install. The first:
 * The folder /home/heatherden/public_html/wp-content/uploads/wp-staging/ is not
   write and/or readable.
    Check if this folder exists!
 * Well it does not exist because there IS no /home/heatherden/ at all…it’s a different
   name. Looking at the settings file it knows everything else is located in the
   correct spot except the upload directory.
 * The uploads directory is in the usual spot for WP and has not been renamed. I
   have no idea where it’s picking up this location from. I ticked the box for uninstall
   data, removed the plugin and reinstalled again and it’s still saying the same
   thing.
 * When I try to attempt to create a staging site, it tells me I’m out of disk space(
   which I’m not)…it’s basically because it’s trying to write to that folder which
   does not exist.
 * I looked at the WP installs on the server side and there is only one. The correct
   path is heatherd and not heatherden. I did not create this site originally, I
   took it over from a previous designer. So the only thing I can think of is it’s
   stuck out there somewhere from an old install. However, it does not show up in
   file manager.
 * I did follow the link to ‘how to fix’ but I don’t even have a staging site yet
   since it won’t let me create it. Any ideas why this is happening?
 * I don’t have any cache plugins running.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi [@iguanamom](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iguanamom/)
    Sorry for the
   delayed reply.
 * Please check your database table “wp_options” and search for “upload_path” meta
   key, most probably the incorrect path is defined there, you need to remove the
   whole path (take a copy of it first as a backup), then leave the “upload_path”
   empty.
 * If that wasn’t the case, then please send us your site’s system information via
   this form: (from WP STAGING > System Info)
    [https://wp-staging.com/support/](https://wp-staging.com/support/)
 * and we will help you further from there,
    Thanks, Alaa
