Hi. We use a template where I can add icons to the header. We have there i.e. fa-twitter, fa-facebook etc. However, if you plugin is enabled, it always loads for a fraction of seconds and then switches back to squares and no icons. We tried everything, using “fa fa-twitter”, disabled or enabled absolutely every option in your plugin for fonts, css etc. Nothing is helping.

To be able to use your plugin, we need to deactivate yours, then create critical css via WP-Rocket and then enable your plugin and the icons are then most probably cached correctly.

What’s the issue here, do you know?

    Thank you.

@keengamer Usually, if “font-display:” is enabled and set to “swap” (especially on a slow internet connection) the squares from Font Awesome get shown, then the actual icons. This is a feature in the Pro version to solve the “Ensure text remains visible during webfont load” issue in Google PageSpeed Insights. However, it doesn’t always run smoothly for font icons (not only Font Awesome).

Also, it could be a different issue unrelated to any Asset CleanUp Pro settings. It needs to be investigated properly. I’ll mark this topic as “solved” as this topic is not related to the Lite version of the plugin and we can continue to discuss it privately.
