 * You’re correct that our Phone field is included as a ‘Fancy Field’ in the form
   builder, which requires any of our paid licenses. This is because of the [Phone field](https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-choose-the-right-form-field-for-your-forms/#phone)
   has what we call a ‘Smart’ format that auto-detects the user’s country location
   based on their IP address, and formats the Phone field automatically to the required
   number format. Users can also choose from a list of countries so the Phone field
   is formatted according to their selection.
 * If you’d prefer not to upgrade at this point, you can use the Single Line Text
   field, along with [field input mask](https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-use-custom-input-masks/).
