# for plugin : retrieve secured data

 * Hi,
 * I’m setting up a few scripts that can pull data from a server from a partner 
   of ours, which I can then save to the WP db.
 * However, this folder with CSV-files is secured (htaccess), I have username and
   login, but would like to automate the data retrieval.. (when script is tested,
   cron will be setup for this)
 * But have no clue how to get to the secured data.. I have to fetch the data and
   pass the user/pw combo along I guess..
 * Anyone have an idea how to pull this off ?

 * was as simple as:
    [http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@www.site.tld/folder/filename.htm](http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@www.site.tld/folder/filename.htm)
