As I noted in a previous post here, the form submission date field does not sort in Excel. Because it has an @ symbol in it, Excel does not recognize it as a date. I hope the plugin authors will fix this, but meanwhile, I tried adding a hidden field with the form submission date in it. That is one of the choices for field value, so it should work, however, when exporting the form submissions, that column is blank.

This seems like a bug, but is there anything I can do in the field settings to get this to work?

    Hello @jamminjames

Hope you are doing well today.

I ran some tests in my lab site and added a hidded field with submit date, and was able to replicate this issue it appears to be a bug, as you mentioned.

I have reported it to our Forminator team for further investigation, as a workaround, you can use the Date value instead of the submission date, which should add the current date when the formis submitted.

Okay, wasn’t sure if that would insert the current date or not, thanks.
