Users on my site are experiencing an issue with the forms where either
    1) the form stalls on submit, the button gets stuck on “processing” and no success message appears (even though I receive the admin email that the form was submitted)
    OR
    2) the form appears to submit, but then disappears. 50/50 as to whether the success message comes up (regardless, I still get the admin email).

Based on user feedback, the issue is mainly with the second form on the page (Order Form). If I inspect the area where the message should be, I see this (javascript is enabled):
    <noscript class=”ninja-forms-noscript-message”>
Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.</noscript>

I don’t know what the issue is, so any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

    Best,

    Houda

  • I have to confirm case no. 1.
At this point, form submissions aren’t even saved.

This is really unacceptable. Did quite some troubleshooting before, I realized, that I should only downgrade the plugin to fix the processing issue…

    Good luck to everyone!

I had opened a thread already about this…same issue with my forms since the most recent update, so frustrating.

@harpo1984 I don’t know how I missed your post!! I’m glad that at the very least the forms are still submitting, but yeah it’s very frustrating. Hopefully we’ll get an answer soon!

They aren’t submitting in all cases sadly, it’s only working 10% of the time in my testing so far.

Edge and Firefox are having the most issues so far. It’s really not good.

Oh wow, I’m sorry to hear that, that’s pretty awful. 🙁

Unfortunately Marcel, rolling back hasn’t seemed to work for the few sites that I have tested on. What version of Ninja Forms did you roll back to?

Rolling back isn’t really an option for me ideally as the most recent update was to fix a security issue.

Yep, same here with me. I wasted SOOOOO much time yesterday thinking it was a conflict with my theme or my plugins.

This morning I turned off all the plugins except for ninja forms and reverted back to 2015 theme…. still the same issue. Depending on the settings, after hitting submit the page either goes blank or does nothing.

The error in the network console response tab reads:

unique_field_error A form with this value has already been submitted.

I just bought the “user management” extension for 50 bucks yesterday so I could get something accomplished and here I sit… very unexceptable

I’ve confirmed that rolling back to 3.2.14 resolves the issue.

@joshwhite that seems to be dependent on the site, see post above by @harpo1984. I haven’t had a chance to test this yet, I’ll know later today.

While rolling back to the previous version is a good temporary fix, I hope that is not the only solution :/

The update to 3.2.16 seems to solve my multiple issues

    Not so for me. Ugh…

Can you contact our official support so we can help you continue to troubleshoot this issue. https://ninjaforms.com/contact/

I have had the same or similar issue recently with a form on this page.

Users report the page sometimes reports it is processing forever on submit (text actually set to “Please wait.”) Sometimes the form actually seems to be processed, though the user is not so informed. Sometimes it is not processed.

It is hard to test since it is an intermittent problem. I have looked for patterns of usage – device, OS, browser – but nothing seems determinant.

I submitted a ticket several days ago but have yet to see any response.

How is this marked as resolved? I am not seeing a fix and contacting @jmcelhaney has not worked.

Support responded to my ticket with the standard: it is probably a conflict with another plugin, turn them all off and test turning them back on one by one in a default theme. No suggestion of what plugins are likely to conflict, unfortunately, or any known conflicts.

For an intermittent problem like this, such a process could take days. It is less of a time suck to redo my forms with a different plugin, which I am preceding to do. There is of course no guarantee that there won’t be problems with that as well. Living with WordPress… if someone came up with a plugin that identified likely plugin and theme conflicts, they could retire on the proceeds.
