    Hello WordPress community.
    I’m a newbie and looking for some minimal guidance from someone kind enough to offer.

    I want to create a site which contains the following features:

    a. Forums
    *What does ww.wp.xz.cn use? bbpress?

    b. Resource/business/site directory
    * Where applicable, this should be searchable by zip-code so that one can easily search for “local” resources
    * Google Maps integration would also be desirable.
    * Ability for users (anonymous and registered) to submit a link. With approval, it gets published

    c. Page-specific wiki functionality
    That is, I would like Wiki functionality (i.e. Group editing, version history, etc.). However, I would like the ability to control which pages have this functionality. In addition, I would like to maintain editorial control, at least in the beginning, over these edits.

    For what it’s worth, I’ve tried Buddypress but I don’t really want all of the social-networking functionality. Thank you in advance.

    As a follow up to this post, I just discovered that Codex uses MediaWiki.
    Is it using a bridge between WordPress and MediaWiki?
