    Hi Peter,

I found this IP in the Learning Mode section and I deleted it as I am not familiar with it as IPs that I allow on my web site – 87.106.35.46

Could you tell me the purpose of that IP being in that section and if it is needed for the purposes of Wordfence learning.? Thanks.

    Hi @techspecx,

Learning Mode is a Wordfence setting to help the firewall on your site allow expected actions without blocking other plugins and services your site connects to as false-positives. It’s on for the first 7 days after installation, although you can turn it on manually at any time if you’re having any issues with something being blocked that shouldn’t be.

The IP listed there is something that was allowed by your site during such a time. Removing it may be perfectly fine, but the IP is associated with a datacenter in the UK so could be related to your host, server, or a plugin’s services. If you notice anything on your site not working as it was before, it may need to be allowed again.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for your reply. I did notice one thing, all my back-end user pictures and profile pictures are not being displayed, but that is only in the back-end – the font end is fine.

I appreciate your answer and I wish you a good day.

    Regards,
    Robert

    Hi @techspecx,

No problem at all. It might be worth trying Learning Mode again and refreshing the admin panel (or loading pages where you were seeing issues) to see if something does need allowlisting in that case. Just make sure to return the firewall to “Enabled and Protecting” again afterwards.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
