 * Hello,
 * Do you have instructions on manually moving a site from staging to “live” using
   the free version?
 * Thanks

 * Hi [@jdphoenix](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jdphoenix/),
 * Yes, we have a tutorial on [how to migrate staging site to production site manually](https://wp-staging.com/migrate-wordpress-staging-site-to-production-site/).
   Please make sure you are technically sound to deal with database and files. However
   the tutorial is very easy to follow.
 * Cheers

 * Okay, thanks. Last question, if I backup the Staging site using UpDraft before
   attempting to transfer and the move does not go as expected, can I restore and
   try again? Will the staging Database be restored as well?
 * Thank you

 * When you create a backup with wp staging you have to do that for the live and
   the staging site separately.
 * Creating a backup of the live site will not backup the staging site and vice
   versa.

 * Hi there,
 * Thank you for the reply. Okay, I guess I’m just concerned about losing the staging
   database because it doesn’t appear to be stored separately in the cPanel. I’m
   assuming this is somehow tied into the “live” version?
 * Appreciate your help on this. For this website, it is a one-time deal with very
   little management required moving forward. I very much see the benefit of the
   Pro version for websites that are managed more frequently. Guess I should have
   done a little more research beforehand to see the difficulty involved in doing
   it yourself. Thanks again.
