From email showing admin email

    Hi all

    when we receive contact forms from one of our sites, it is pulling through the sites’s admin email instead of the ‘from’ email we have specified in the contact form 7 mail tab.

    Please can you let me know if there is a setting somewhere I need to change so that it pulls through the ‘from’ email and not the site’s admin email.

    ciao @comealive,

    check the settings of your smtp plugin because it is probably overriding the cf7 settings

    Hi there, we don’t have any other mail plugins on the site. Any other idea what else could override the contact form 7 “from” email?

    this is strange because usually smtp plugin do that. check your server configuration if you can.

    in addition check the “from:” field to be something like this (mostly the angle brackets < >)
    [_site_title] <[email protected]>

    Hi,
    I have the same problem as @comealive
    Even if I specify a from address, it takes the site admin email.
    I don’t have any plugin and I’ve checked the config on my server and there is nothing about email.
