 * Does this only work on the backend (admin). I want a customer to be able to export
   custom table data. Doing an export with my own code, on the front end, puts out
   nasty HTML header code into the csv file. Where as doing the same in the admin
   works perfectly.

   dashboard, and it’s only accessible to users with [the “manage_options” capability](https://wordpress.org/support/article/roles-and-capabilities/#manage_options).
