Hi flood,
The permalinks shouldnt be breaking regardless of what the permalinks are set to. We’re using the built in WordPress function to generate them, so all of the options including custom should work.
It sounds like it could be a caching issue. Our timeline stores cache for around 12 hours before it is reset. Each time an announcement is published or edited the cache is reset. Changing the permalink doesn’t trigger a cache reset, so you’ll probably want to go and just click ‘update’ on an existing announcement post, or publish a new one – and then re-check the permalinka of the announcements on the timeline.
Thanks,
Evan

Hi Evan, I’ve tried to publish new events, I’ve also waited more than a day, but it doesn’t change that once I click on read more it gives me an non existent page. I get the same result when I click on the “view article” direct link from the backend.
The links take me to http://myurl/announcement/nameOfEvent
Can you provide us with a link to your site – where the timeline is being displayed? Are you having issues with any of the other post types on your site?
The announcements are standard posts, with nothing special going on – so I’m not sure what the issue with the permalinks would be. Are you changing the announcement slug or doing anything special with any code?
Thanks,
Evan
