Function for Sub-Sub Categories

    Hi all,

    I’m looking for a way to determine of a category has two parents or not, aka sub-sub category. My purpose is to display a different woocommerce template on this return, but I don’t know enough about WP and PHP to figure out if the category has two parents…

    Lane,

    Hi. If I am understanding your question correctly, I have a visual method that may be of service.

    Log into your wp dashboard and on the left under posts click on categories.

    Categories with dashes in front of them have parents.

    Categories with two dashes in front of them have sub sub.

    Does this help?
