 * I have a child theme in place which has no content in it, just blank css and
function php file. Problem is if I add the enqueu CSS code in functions.php ,
for some reason the function.php file gets deleted !!! It works well without
this enque function. If add the function, the entire function php gets deleted.
   why is it so ?

 * Are you saying the code inside the ‘functions.php’ file gets deleted, or the
   whole file is removed?
 * It sounds like you need to tell this to your hosting providers.
