 * I have had a problem with the schedule posting on V 2.9 – I have today (6th January
   2010) downloaded and installed the v 2.9.1 update – this is Still NOT working
   please can someone give me some advice on what else I can do. I need to set up
   a range of posts for posting over the next few weeks, and if this cannot be got
   to work then my efforts will not be worthwhile
 * p.s. sorry if this is posted in the wrong place

 * You might want to double-check your upload of the new version and make sure all
   the new files went up and replaced the old ones. I had the issue and it was corrected
   after I upgraded to 2.9.1 Is it still giving the same error? Missed Schedule,
   I think is what mine said. Do you have any scheduling plugins that you might
   need to turn off or update?

 * Hi, as far as I can tell the files have been replaced with the newer versions.
   I am still getting the message “schedule missed” on any future posts I create.
   I have downloaded a zip file of the upgrade files and extracted them but I must
   admit I am not entirely sure how I am supposed to try installing those – so any
   further help and assistance would be good. As far as I am aware I do not have
   any other plugins active on the site that could cause me grief.
    Thanks in anticipation

 * Simply upload everything that came in the zip – **except the entire wp-content
   folder** – to your WordPress installation.

 * Hi, I am sorry to say that this did not work either. I uploaded the entire upgrade
   files that came in the zip file to the install directory but excluded the wp-
   content folder – am still getting the “missed schedule” message so I think that
   the upgrade to 2.9.1 is still flawed. I am open to any further suggestions. Thanks

 * umm “missed schedule” may mean wrong future date? 2009 instead of 2010? Just
   wondering…

 * Hi,
    I have checked and double checked that I have got the future date post correct
   and listed as 2010, so once more I am at a huge barrier in how I am supposed
   to get over this, especially if I want to get a bank of stuff created and scheduled
   to publish over a few days if I cannot get to log in to post manually. I even
   tried again today but still the same problem.
 * So any further help or even some feedback from the gurus at WordPress on how
   I can get over this would be even better.
 * Cheers for now in anticipation.

 * It sounds like you’re not correctly overwriting an existing file. Did your webhost
   do the initial install for you? If so, have them do the upgrade, too. Otherwise,
   you’re going to have to take drastic measures.
 * If you can’t get your webhost to help, you can try these steps. Please, note,
   you are taking your chances here so make sure to backup EVERYTHING first.
    First,
   make a backup of your current, live WordPress installation. THIS IS THE MOST
   IMPORTANT STEP! Two, after making the backup, remove everything but the entire
   wp-content folder and the wp-config.php file. Three, upload all the new files.
 * Good luck!

 * I am having this same issue. I did my install through my admin window… should
   I try NetworkGeek’s solution, or is there something else I can try in the admin
   panel? is there something that I need to select (i.e. check box) to get this
   to work?
 * [@thehemorrhoidshometreatment](https://wordpress.org/support/users/thehemorrhoidshometreatment/),
   have you gotten yours to work yet?

 * If you did the install through the admin window, and I’m assuming you meant your
   webhost’s control panel admin window, then I’d contact the webhost and ask them
   to upgrade it for you. Again, make sure to back up your installation first!
 * Good luck!

 * [@networkgeek](https://wordpress.org/support/users/networkgeek/) I performed
   the update through the _wordpress_ admin panel. I clicked on the banner link
   at the top that displays when there’s a new version available.
 * In addition however, the problem has now morphed. the schedule post gets published
   but I’ve another issue which I started a thread about [here](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/357288?).
 * I really need some help with the new issue that has come up.
 * Thanks
