# Future Posts Show Empty Category

 * When I post in the future, the post prematurely counts on the category to which
   it has been posted, even though it has not been published. This is a bigger problem
   if the category does not contain any previous entries as the category link is
   shown in the sidebar, which when clicked on, navigates to the Error – 404 not
   found.
 * Has anyone else had and fixed this issue?

 * I tested this and did a quick search, and it appears to be a bug. I even tried
   logging out and checking and it still appears in the category list. You should

 * I reported it as a bug as advised, but they closed it stating:
 * “Can’t replicate on trunk”

 * What does that mean exactly? That they cannot reproduce the error?

 * This means that the bug no longer exists in the trunk codeset which is what will
   become the next major release of WordPress when it is finished.
