 * Hello, Anders Norén!
 * For many years I have been using Baskerville as my blog theme, and I am infinitely
   grateful to you for your work, for keeping the topic up to date and tips on how
   to customize it, etc.
 * In the context of Eksell release and talks about “Full Site Editing”, I would
   like to ask: will there be a basic update of previously created themes, including
   Baskerville? (We are not talking about “adapting Baskerville for Full Site Editing”,
   because I understand that it is easier and more expedient to develop a new theme
   than to reshape the old one.)
 * It is the correction (possible in the future) of errors related to the obsolescence
   of some functions in the kernel, for example, that interests.
 * The reason for my question is simple: I’m happy with Baskerville, support for
   both the block editor and the classic one, and the only thing that worries is
   whether it will break in the future. 🙂

 * Hi [@kronos1705](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kronos1705/),
 * I’m glad you like it!
 * The answer is yes – I will keep my older themes up to date with future versions
   of WordPress, as long as it is possible to keep them updated without converting
   them entirely to Full Site Editing themes.
 * My belief (which is pure speculation) is that eventually, years from now, the
   WordPress theme directory will require all themes to be Full Site Editing themes
   with block based template files, and that legacy themes with PHP based template
   files will be retired. When (if) that time comes, I will likely retire my old
   themes as well.
 * But as long as they are still in the theme directory, I plan to keep them updated
   so they work with new WordPress releases. I don’t expect many updates to be required,
   as the focus of the Core team shifts more and more to features for block based
   themes.
