# Gallery block missing from Posts

 * Hey all,
 * I haven’t posted in months, so i guess a new update changed things around. Whenever
   i post, I will add a gallery of photos along with the featured image. Now, the
   only option available is the featured image upload, but the section for the Gallery
   block is gone, I can’t even edit past posts that i uploaded gallery images. I
   can manually add a gallery block, but in the past, I didn’t have to do it, just
   automatically had a section to upload a gallery of images.
 * What can i do to make it go back to how it was months ago? How can i edit past
   post galleries?

    Update of theme? Update of plugins?

 * all three, I usually just hit update when there is one available.
 * Does this issue sound like a theme or WordPress or plug-in problem?
 * It’s so weird, the gallery pictures section is gone from old posts too, but the
   pictures are still being displayed on the live page.

 * hey, thanks for the help. i’m on oceanwp theme, so needed ocean extra plugin 
   to gain more options for the gallery. in the end i needed a plugin. thanks again
   for suggestions though.
