Gallery default media link type

    When you create a gallery you have to choose between ‘attachment page’, ‘media file’ and ‘none’. However I tried changing image_default_link_type for “file” but it doeesn’t change anything for Galleries. Default remains being attachment page.
    I think this is an annoying bug. Does anyone know if I might be trying to change the wrong thing or maybe there is a fix for this?
