# Gallery missing

 * I recently moved my blog to a new host. I exported the blog through the XML export
   function and uploaded it through the import.
 * Everything is up and running but all my galleries where i used [gallery link="
   file"] aren’t showing!
 * Is there anything in the SQL that is keeping info that weren’t exported?
 * TIA!

 * When you view the post in the Visual Editor do you see the `[gallery]` shortcode?
 * Sounds like the galleries did not import correctly. That’s happened to me when
   the images already existed on the target web server. If you do see the shortcode
   then you may have better luck using a database dump and following the steps in
   this article.

 * Yes I do see the gallery shortcode!
 * I suspected it had to do something about the database. Does anyone know if there
   is anything specifik in the database that I/we can add? I have my old SQL file
   saved.
