Gallery with descriptions

I am setting up a page for an artist where she want to show her work. I am looking for a free image gallery like the ones that are on the pages now. The problem with the plugin I use is that the images are a little unsharp.
The best would be a gallery where the title and description is shown when clicking the images and the lightbox is opened.

Any suggetions?
