 * GatherContent.com is a service that allows developer and client to collect content
   at the same time as design and development is happening which minimises the problems
   of getting content at the end of the web project.
 * What I would like to know is if a GatherContent.com clone plugin for WordPress
   exists.
 * This way, I can give clients access to their website from my own machine (via
   Xampp) and they can start adding content to the same DB we will eventually make
   live. Minimising the hassle of constantly uploading a DB, change URL paths etc
   etc…
 * I have spent a lot of time looking for something similar but not found anything
   and perhaps someone else has an alternative?
 * Thank you

 * Hi sixfootjames
 * Have you seen our [offical GatherContent plugin](http://wordpress.org/plugins/gathercontent-import/)?
 * Although this doesn’t live update as you make changes it does give you the ability
   to import content and media files.
 * Please take a look and see how you like it.
 * Thanks

 * Thanks Mathew, I am however looking for a simpler option where clients can add
   content directly to the site as we’re working in collaboration so that they learn
   how to use the CMS at the same time.
 * I think I may have found something. Testing it at the moment.

 * Hi James
 * What solution have you found? We would be happy to research into it and incorporate
   it into our plugin if we see it as being a good addition.
 * Thanks

 * I’ve set up a web server using a Raspberry PI on my own internal network. Open
   the ports and the client gets a NO-IP URL where they can directly access the
   CMS and database and start uploading content to the database that will be used
   by the time the site goes live.
 * That way they learn how to use WP CMS and at the same time add content to the
   site so that everything is done by the time I am finished developing.
