 * Hi Sandro,
 * In order to anonymize the user IP using GADWP follow these steps:
    - in your WordPress Administration area select Google Analytics from the left
      menu
    - click on the Tracking Code sub-menu
    - select Advanced Settings at the top of the screen
    - enable the anonymize IPs while tracking option
 * For more info, please see the following web page: [https://exactmetrics.com/google-analytics-gdpr-and-user-data-privacy-compliance/](https://exactmetrics.com/google-analytics-gdpr-and-user-data-privacy-compliance/)
 * Does that answer your question?
 * Cheers,
    -Jay

 * HI there
    I’ve enabled the features suggested here: [https://exactmetrics.com/google-analytics-gdpr-and-user-data-privacy-compliance/](https://exactmetrics.com/google-analytics-gdpr-and-user-data-privacy-compliance/)
 * Does this mean that as far as Google Analytics is concerned I am not storing
   any personally identifiable information?
 * Many thanks

 * Hi Emma,
 * I can’t speak to your specific case, but out-of-the-box it shouldn’t be, and
   in fact, Google Analytics doesn’t allow it and bans users that do.
 * However, there are some cases where third-party themes or plugins include some
   PII, such as in the URL after a user fills out the information and this is included
   in the URL that is tracked in Google Analytics.
 * _Disclaimer: We aren’t lawyers and the EU GDPR is complex, but we can say that
   with the default theme, and only GADWP installed and the correct settings in
   the above doc it wouldn’t collecting PII to the best of our knowledge._

 * That makes sense, thanks for explaining.
