 * I want to know – with absolute certainty because of the possible fines coming
   up – that if I use analytics and set ‘anonymize IP address’ – that visitors are
   not possible to identify by any means from the data collected by Google.
    (if
   not – it is not possible to use analytics within EU law)
 * is there anything else to do when you would like to have statistics but legally.

 * Hi,
 * Please note if this option is enabled, the last digits of users’ IP addresses
   will be hidden. Their full IP will not be visible, and thus the **visitors will
   be anonymized**.
 * Thanks. Have a nice day.

 * hidden is not the same as deleted – which means that you (or others) can reassemble
   and trace back to idenfify user. which is not legal with the GDPR – anonymized
   to me, but only pseudonomized to you – and that’s not enough. they worry about
   what you know just as much as what I know.

 * Hi,
 * Please note that while the setting is active the Google is not authorizing the
   IP (such a request is being sent to Google). This is not related to the plugin,
   Please see [here](https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/ip-anonymization).
 * Thanks. Have a nice day.
