GDPR

With regards to GDPR, I believe data can be acted upon in different ways based on its type. For example:

Customer submission forms, queries, etc… all need to be viewable, amendable and able to be deleted.

However…

Customer orders would be different altogether as they pertain to a financial transaction, a milestone, an event that has taken place. Customers won’t be able to change a delivery adderss retrospectively, after it has been delivered.

So in this case GDPR Policies can be superseded, but policies are given to protect the data in the instance of the latter.

GDPR is a very complex beast. From a store owners / site builder, the onus is on your or your hosting company rather than the WooCommerce plugin.

We (WooCommerce.com) are thinking about this a lot though, so please do look out for a post coming in the new year.

I am writing also with regard to GDPR that will come into effect on the 25th of May 2018. I would be grateful if you could provide me with the answers for my above-mentioned queries:
1. Do you plan support GDPR and make WordPress compliant with this regulation?
I mean to create some legal regulations with regard to a new European privacy.
2. Where can I find more information about this on your site or whom I should contact? It is only from WooCommerce.com blog post?
