# Gedcom issue

 * Here I go again…
    Trying to import a gedcom file the import is blocked with the
   message ‘Please select or enter a destination branch’ even if the import page
   marks the selection of a branch as optional. My tree has no branch and obviously
   it is not possible to create such one without any persons in the tree (the tree
   were to be populated through the gedcom import) Is this a glitch to be corrected?

    Before import you need to create a tree, on creation tree a default branch
   will be create automatically .On import process select that tree and select that
   default branch.

 * Hi Irfan
    Once again the plugin is not behaving. I did have a tree but without
   branches, so I deleted that thee and created a new one. This tree did have a 
   default branch but trying to import my gedcom failed The screen dumps can be

    I have deleted the plugin. Your reply reached me just two days befor the
   end of the trial period and I did not want to spend money on software I cannot
   test or use
