# Genesis 404 plugin: tests folder, test-test.php

 * I’m getting scan alerts that this plugin has been altered since it was installed:
   specifically, a “tests” folder added and inside that folder test-test.php. Are
   these normal files in the functioning of the plugin or a sign of a problem?

 * The test folder and test-test.php file were added to the plugin 6 years ago. 
   The file should look like this: [https://github.com/billerickson/Genesis-404-Page/blob/master/tests/test-test.php](https://github.com/billerickson/Genesis-404-Page/blob/master/tests/test-test.php)
 * It’s the base framework for unit testing. If we decide to add new features/functionality
   in the future, we can write tests to go with it to ensure that functionality 
   continues working as expected.
