# Genesis default layout changes

 * Hi, I’m a newbie…be kind!
 * I have just installed genesis and a child theme. I went to theme settings and
   wanted to change the layout. under ‘default layout’ I can’t click on any other–
   it just wont work!
    I though this was simple! What am I missing?

   support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not have access to, nor do we
   support, [commercial products](http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products)
