# Geocoding errors when importing from CSV

 * Hello,
 * I am trying to set up this login on a new website, now still unpublished.
 * The plugin seems to work and so the Google Maps API: I can set the start point
   and if I click in “Preview Location” while on “Edit Store”, it finds the location
   on the preview map and fills in Lat. and Lon. in the “Store Details” section.
 * The issue I am having is when I import the stores from a CSV file… each store
   returns an error like this:
 * Geocoding errors
 * Status code “REQUEST_DENIED” for location: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Edit
   details
    Error message: This IP, site or mobile application is not authorized
   to use this API key. Request received from IP address XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX,
   with referer: [https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&libraries=places](https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&libraries=places)
 * What am I doing wrong?

 * To solve the issue make sure you have set the [referrer](https://wpstorelocator.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/google-server-key-ip.gif)
   for the used API key in the [Google API Console](https://console.developers.google.com/),
   and that it matches with the IP shown in the returned error.
 * If not, then adjust it.
 * In case it doesn’t work after adjusting it, then delete the project in the API
   Console, and create a [new set of keys](https://wpstorelocator.co/document/create-google-api-keys/).

 * thank you Tijmen,
 * I did fiddle with settings for a while, then I decided to delete and recreate
   the keys.
 * Eventually I removed restrictions on the key and proceeded with the CSV upload,
   then added restrictions back.
 * Apologies for looking for support for the add-on here, I’ll use the support link
   you posted if I need further help.
