    I’m a Novice so be Gentle. When I am writing a post, I see a small area that says get shortlink. Can it be explained to me and should I use it ?

    Of course you don’t have to use short links. Read more here and URL shortening on Wikipedia. In short, you can use short links to change large links that are difficult to remember and read to short ones which are easy to read and remember.
