 * Hello,
    I’ve got a little problem and have no idea whether I can solve it. I’ve
   got an old wordpress.com site with my own URL and I would like to link my new
   wordpress org content to this site. I think I can’t import the whole content
   on wordpress.com because the theme I use is a Premium theme from themeforest.
   Could anybody tell me whether it’s possible to use my “old” URL for the new content?
   How can I do that? Sorry, I am not very experienced in working with wordpress.
   Many thanks, Carmen.

 * True, you cannot use any outside themes on WordPress.COM sites. Are you now going
   to only use the WordPress.COM site? If so, you can EXPORT the data from your
   self-hosted site and import it to the WP.COM site.

 * Yeah, but it’s not only about the content, I want to import the content + the
   theme I used on wordpress.org.
    I already done as the link you just sent described
   but unfortunately that’s only the content import but without the theme. I guess
   I have to move the domain I bought for wordpress.com, right? To make it clear:
   I just want to use the wishdomain.com I bought via wordpress.com for my new wordpress.
   org site. :-/ Many thanks for your help!

 * That’s an entirely different question. Just set the nameservers to your new host–
 * [http://www.whois.com/whois/wishdomain.com](http://www.whois.com/whois/wishdomain.com)
 * Where is your new site hosted?

 * The new host is hosteurope.
    Don’t know the name servers of my wordpress.com
   wish domain. I just thought maybe I don’t have to move the domain and could get
   there by moving the theme and content to wordpress.com. That’s why I was asking
   such confusing things. 🙂

 * Yes, it’s confusing. But you cannot use outside themes on WordPress.COM – ever.
   Or plugins. So if you want those, you need to set this up on your new host.
 * So ask them what the nameserver settings are.
 * Then go to where your domain name is registered – looks like it’s here:
    [http://www.instra.com/](http://www.instra.com/)
 * Based on this:
 * [http://www.whois.com/whois/wishdomain.com](http://www.whois.com/whois/wishdomain.com)
 * And change the nameserver settings there to your new hosting company’s settings.

 * Yes, I will try to do that. Many thanks for your help! And sorry for confusing
   you. 🙂

 * No worries – it IS confusing :)! You’ll get it sorted and unconfused though!
