# getting a Parse Error

 * My blog is hosted on my own web site & when I went to post on it today, I get
   a blank white page with nothing on it except the following:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/t/o/p/topekacrochet/
   html/blog/wp-load.php on line 50
 * At this point, I have no clue what it means, nor do I know how to fix it. I can’t
   log in to my blog, so I was trying to go through my host but with no luck. The
   last time I visited my blog was June 25 of this year and everything was working
   just fine.
 * I really want my blog back. Please help.

 * Try replacing the wp-load.php file with a fresh copy from the same version of
   WordPress:

 * Sites suddenly breaking due to parse errors can be a good sign that the site 
   has been [hacked](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked). You may
   find that more files are damaged as well.

 * Ah, I worried about the possibility of it being hacked…stupid hackers. I’ll try
   what you suggested…thanks!
