 * I am experiencing a similar issue. Once someone has created an account and received
   an email with link to activate, they need admin approval to see the rest of the
   site. But instead, they can log in and see the other pages in the site, but every
   page has this same kind of error message. Hopefully someone can help out with
   this. The plugin seems to work well otherwise, but this is key.

 * I found this possible fix a while back.

 * I deactivated BP Registration Options for the time being in order to spend time
   on other issues. I have not tried the fix described at the link above, but you
   might want to read up on it and see if it would work for you. If so, do post 
   whether or not it was successful! I may want to reactivate the plugin.
