# Getting “E_COMPILE_ERROR”

 * Hello.
 * I am getting an email from WordPress stating that a serious technical error has
   occurred. However, my website seems to be working and I believe the form is working
   as well.
 * An error of the type E_COMPILE_ERROR occurred on line 225 in the following file:/
   home/me/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/src/WPForms.php. Cause of
   error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/kaycknzw/public_html/wp-
   content/plugins/wpforms-lite/includes/class-frontend.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/
   alt/php74/usr/share/pear’)

 * Based on the error message, it looks like some of WPForms file are either missing
   or got corrupted causing the error.
 * To get this sorted, please keep a full backup of your site then try to reinstall
   the WPForms Lite plugin.
 * Please check [this guide](https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-wordpress/)
   for more information on how to reinstall a plugin.
