    Hello,

Whenever someone tries to sign up for our newsletter they get error messages about it failing. When i check the debug logg i see.:
[2019-10-08 14:08:27] INFO: Form 1862 > Submitted with errors: spam

Even when i try to sign up myself the errors gets returned. It worked last week, and the only thing changed is that I updated the plugin yesterday.

    Is this a known error?

Edit: Signup form can be found in the footer

    Hi @karlnordstrom,

Definitely not a known issue. I just tested the form on your website but am not seeing the issue though, I was able to successfully subscribe using the form in the footer.

Did you manage to resolve this already somehow?

    Hello @dvankooten,

Thank you for your response. Yes, I managed to resolve it:

    1. First I rollbacked the plugin to version 4.5.5. But that didn’t cut it.

    2. So I updated to the latest once again and tried to turn off the global recaptcha, without prevail. Same error in the debugg logg. Turned on the recaptcha again.

    3. Checked if any other plugins had recaptcha enabled. After a long search I remembered that there’s a recaptcha options in the form settings for MC4WP. There I had a recaptcha v3 enabled. I doublechecked the sitekey and secretkey, which were correct. But I turned it off for the form and after that the signups worked again flawlessly.

Guess I cried wolf on that one. Still don’t know why the recaptcha classified my own signup efforts as spam, and some signups work.

    Hey @karlnordstrom,

I’m glad this is resolved. This can happen if you test the forms multiple times using the same email address.
