# getting internal server error when accessing theme options

 * Im getting this error message when i try to access my theme options :
 * Internal Server Error
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
 * Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error
   occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
 * More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
 * can anyone assist? I just started happening. I didnt touch any files or change
   any code

    A) Scan your site at [http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/](http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/)
   in case your site was compromised. B) Switch to unedited default theme. C) Deactivate
   all plugins.
 * If site and admin dashboard then run ok, it’s a theme or plugin issue.
    To test,
   activate only one at a time (theme first), test site and admin functions. When
   site breaks again, you will have isolated the culprit.
