# Getting Syntax Error When Uploading CSV

 * I exported a CSV of connections from one site, and am trying to import it on 
   another site. However, when I choose the CSV and click “Upload,” nothing happens
   and I get an error in the console that says, “Syntax error found on row 1. Non-
   enclosed fields can not contain double-quotes.” More specifically, this:
    `"{"
   success":false,"data":{"form":{"id":"cn-import-category","action":"csv_upload","
   type":"category","nonce":"54f5e8a3c9","_wp_http_referer":"\/wp-admin\/admin.php?
   page=connections_tools&tab=import","cn-upload-csv-category":"Upload"},"message":"
   Syntax error found on row 1. Non-enclosed fields can not contain double-quotes."}}"`
   I haven’t messed with the CSV at all, so I don’t know what’s going wrong. Any
   ideas? Thanks!

 * Can you open the CSV file in a text editor such as Notepad and copy row one and
   paste it as a reply. I would like to see it unaltered.

 * Ok, I see. Well, not the reason for the error as those lines seem fine.
 * You are trying to import the CSV Export of the Entry data as Categories.
 * To import Entries, you need the CSV Import addon. Here’s the link:
