 * Hi,
    I’m running a multisite with WP 4.3 and a custom permalink plugin.
 * My standard settings for permalinks in Settings are “Postname”; [http://myblog.com/sample-post/](http://myblog.com/sample-post/)
 * However, when I start a new post and save a draft, it becomes the “Default” setting,?
   p=123
 * With the custom permalink plugin I’m able to change it to my desired permalink,
   however, I find it quite annoying and am wondering what could be the matter.

 * Someone please correct me if I’m wrong but I think there isn’t a problem here.
   If you publish the post then it should in theory take it’s permalink setting
   and use that. I think it only uses the `?p=post-id` when it hasn’t been published.
   Why, I’m not so sure but that’s how it works on my blog (I don’t have any permalink
   plugins though).
 * Try publishing a post and see if it updates the permalink properly, it should
   do.
