Gift Card Emails Not Sending on “Processing” Status

I’m using the YITH WooCommerce Gift Cards plugin and have noticed an issue with email delivery. Gift card emails are only being sent when I manually change the order status from Processing to Completed.
From the documentation, I understand the plugin should send gift card emails for both Processing and Completed statuses. However, in my setup, nothing is triggered at Processing — only once I manually update the order to Completed.
Could you please help me so that gift card emails are automatically sent as soon as the order is marked Processing, without requiring the manual status change?
