   for some reason. I’ve made one other website with WP2 Static with relatively
   no issues so im not sure what to do in this case.

 * I noticed there was an issue with the domain for some reason, but here’s the
   github one.

 * [@fransallen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/fransallen/) I have it set
   to export to a subdirectory on my computer, the destination url is set to [http://helioscomputers.com](http://helioscomputers.com),
   and I have a subdiretory folder set. Everything else is stock.

 * I’ve tried exporting to GitHub directly but it places all of the files in a subdirectory
   thus not actually deploying the site, and when I try exporting to ZIP the ZIP
   downloads empty.

 * Hi [@wialord](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wialord/),
 * There are a few things we could try to fix the issue you’re experiencing with
   V6, but as you mentioned you’re exporting to a local folder, I’d recommend you
   start with our V7 pre-releases: [https://wp2static.com/download](https://wp2static.com/download)
 * You can just use the core plugin, then run a native Git CLI client from the exported
   directory (`/wp-content/uploads/wp2static-processed-site`).
 * This should be less painful for you. A dedicated GitHub add-on for V7 is in the
   works, at which point, you may choose to use that if you need full automated
   workflow.
 * Cheers,
 * Leon

 * [@leonstafford](https://wordpress.org/support/users/leonstafford/) I sincerely
   appreciate the quick response and assistance, I honestly couldn’t figure out
   V7. However, it did push me to further investigate the V6 issue and I successfully
   remedied it!
 * I believe it was an issue with the domain on GoDaddy’s part, as the site is functioning
   properly using helioscomputers.github.io but not helioscomputers.com even with
   the proper configurations for custom domains.
 * Thanks again!

 * Hi [@wialord](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wialord/),
 * Glad you got it sorted and thanks for the feedback on V7 – it definitely needs
   improvement in the usability department.
 * Just to make sure, did you get your site working on your intended domain in the
   end?
 * The repository name in GitHub is also a requirement to getting custom domain
   static site hosting working with them.
 * I’d suggest looking at Netlify if you’re still having issues. Also free hosting
   with unlimited custom domain mappings (GitHub only allows (or used to) 1 custom
   domain mapping per user/org.
 * Site performance should be better with Netlify, too. You can also just export
   as a ZIP and drag and drop into their UI, which is nice and simple (most of the
   time!).
 * Even better performance can be had by using S3 + CloudFront, but with big jump
   in complexity / new tools to learn if not familiar with AWS things already.
 * Anyway, hope you get your site as you like on your own domain!
 * Cheers,
 * Leon
