# Gmail Error

 * I’m getting the following error. any ideas?
 * EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v1.4.2 logged this error during
   the last time it tried to send an email:
 * Mailer: Gmail
    cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: [http://www.googleapis.com](http://www.googleapis.com)(
   see [http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html](http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html))
   Consider running an email test after fixing it.

 * The error indicates it’s an issue with your host — perhaps an old version of 
   curl. You might need to consult with your hosting provider and upgrade cURL on
   the server.
 * After upgrading, please try sending a test email and if the error still exists,
   share full error log that will appear at the button after failed test email.
