# GoDaddy Database Access issues?

 * So I’ve created a new database on my GoDaddy account. The database and username
   are created as the same, and created my own password. Followed the instructions
   within the “WP-Config” file, and when launching the initial install page, I get
   a message that says: “Error Establishing a Database Connection.”
 * Did I miss something? Is the “localhost” setting supposed to be altered for GoDaddy
   accounts?
 * Any help would be much appreciated!

 * Yes. You might do a search as this is common for GoDaddy. I think the user name
   has to go in front the db name. You can do a search here or on Google to find
   the correct way to list your db name.
