SSL is a bit complicated server side process so multiple steps like domain verification, SSL installation on server, etc., are required to keep your site running smooth 🙂 Directly forcing HTTPS without a valid SSL cert will break the site so you need to handle multiple steps which are pretty easy & can be completed by anyone with very basic knowledge!
